CAN CORONOVIRUS(COVID-19) AFFECT THE SOCIOECONOMIC STATUS OF THE COUNTRY.

Today the world has been shaken by the spread of the Corona virus COVID-19 that has claimed thousands of lives and spread throughout the world. Excitement over the threshold of 2020 became gloomy when on December 19, 2019, the virus was discovered to have caused fatalities in Wuhan province of China. The rapid spread of the virus around the world has had many negative implications for one country and the world in particular. Not to be overlooked is our country of Malaysia which also has a deceptive virus that is easily transmitted without our knowledge. However, the recent announcement made by the 8th Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyidin Yasin on movement control to curb the outbreak is just as Singapore has done as Malaysia is still in the early stages of COVID-19 even the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the epidemic a pandemic. In fact, the emergence of COVID-19 would undoubtedly affect the socioeconomic status of a country while jeopardizing the well-being of the people. The question is, how does COVID-19 affect a country's socioeconomic status?

The emergence of the COVID-19 virus has affected a country's socioeconomic status as it can affect the health of a country's population. The virus is said to be caused by the consumption of wildlife foods such as snakes, bats and lizards that have caused a person to experience symptoms such as cough, cold and persistent for more than 14 to 21 days and can be fatal. In Malaysia, the readiness of the authorities to address this issue is at the highest level for any possible escalation of cases. As a result, the country's socioeconomic status will suffer from deficits due to unhealthy labor and undergoing treatment for recovery. Statistics show a drastic increase in the outbreak of the outbreak in Italy has led the country to a state of instability that can be likened to a hollow egg. It is clear that the emergence of the COVID-19 virus has affected the socioeconomic status of a country and threatened the well-being of the people.

At the same time, the spread of the COVID-19 virus is also said to be detrimental to the country's socioeconomic status as it threatens the peace of a country and creates a panic for people around the world. According to the World Director of World Heath Organizations (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, COVID-19 is now entering a pandemic phase, stressing that the outbreak and the severity of the outbreak are extremely worrying. In general, a pandemic means a disease that is spreading far and wide across the globe. The spread of the virus has affected the country's socioeconomic status as it has caused public outrage in a nation or world known to lead to death. Thus, the authorities have been working hard to implement the initiative in ensuring thousand of these problems can be contained as the Malay proverb mentions bear the same weight, the same light. It is undeniable that the peace and stability of a country is definitely affected by this COVID-19 virus crime.

In view of the different aspects, the spread of COVID-19 can also affect a country's economy. It is said that when the people of a country are identified to be infected with the virus, the government will have to provide optimal assistance in curbing this problem. Certainly, the economic flow of a country will be jeopardized and plagued by the lack of confidence of investors or tourism in the country threatened by the virus. In fact, according to the Ministry of Tourism Malaysia, many tourists from abroad have made the decision to cancel their vacation to our country because of concerns over the spread of the virus. In fact, low-cost airlines like Air Asia have to bear the cost of canceling vacation flights to COVID-19 countries. To address this problem in conjunction with the Visit Malaysia Year 2020, the government in collaboration with the tourism industry has offered special offers to domestic tourists to encourage them to travel in the country at a 70 per cent discount on hospitality. Indirectly, these efforts can encourage local people to travel around the country to get to know their beloved homeland more closely because their parents have a message, anonymity and a lack of love. There is no denying that the emergence of COVID-19 has had a negative impact on a country's economy.

On the other hand, the spread of COVID-19 could also be detrimental to the country's socioeconomic status because of the increasing costs of medical and preventive measures that governments must bear. Because the COVID-19 virus is nothing new, the government has to spend a lot of money on prevention and treatment for the patients it has infected. Expertise and various high-tech equipment should be used in identifying the virus and its prevention. As a result, a significant amount of national money has to be used in an effort to curb these concerns in order to safeguard the well-being of the people and the stability of the country's economy. For example, in the early stages of the transmission of the virus, the Virology Unit, the Infectious Disease Research Center, the Medical Research Institute (IMR), the Ministry of Health was the only laboratory involved in conducting diagnostic tests for 2019-nCOV detection in Malaysia. This capacity was extended to a network of private laboratories through a joint exercise conducted by the MKAK Sungai Buloh on February 6, 2020, demonstrating an increase in the need and cost of medicine in preventing the spread of the virus.

In conclusion, the emergence of the COVID-19 virus has awakened us in general and the world in particular how important hygiene is in everyday life that is emphasized in every religion. Opposition to daily practices that violates all religious prohibitions such as eating wildlife that religion believes should be backed up so that we do not make a mistake. Indeed, as temporary beings on this earth, we should be grateful for the blessings He has bestowed on us. After all, make this event a lesson for all of us to fix our weaknesses so that they never repeat. Together we emphasize the cleanliness aspect to prevent the COVID-19 virus from continuing to destroy the world. This effort must work together because we are united, our divorce is broken.
